Awesome! I've recently started painting in values first too. On your colour layers what type do you select the layer? I found this to be the most challenging part :)

I try not to go from value to color with a color layer. I simply start in very desaturated colors and keep a value layer on top to check the values back from time to time. Just fill a layer that is on top of all layers with black or white and set it to saturation mode. Thanks, glad you like it!:)
